Circular No. 10/2017/TT-BXD: Procedures for declaration of conformity of building materials in Vietnam

Circular No. 10/2017/TT-BXD was issued by the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam promulgating National Technical Regulations, promulgating products and goods of building materials QCVN 16:2017/BXD, and guidelines for certificate of conformity and declaration of conformity.

According to Circular No. 10/2017/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, procedures for declaration of conformity are prescribed as follows:

- The manufacturer/product owner shall send an application for registration of the declaration of conformity directly or by post to the Department of Construction in the province or central-affiliated city where the manufacturer/product owner has registered its business.

- If the application for registration of the declaration of conformity is adequate, within 5 working days from the date on which the application is received, the Department of Construction shall verify if it is eligible.

- If the application is eligible, the Department of Construction shall issue an acknowledgement of application to the manufacturer/product owner.

- If the application is not eligible, it will be rejected and the Department of Construction will provide the manufacturer/product owner with an explanation.
