Recently, the Ministry of Health has issued Circular 37/2019/TT-BYT stipulating policies on statistical reporting in the health sector.
Statistical reporting periods in the health sector based on the Gregorian calendar are specifically stipulated in Article 2 of Circular 37/2019/TT-BYT as follows:

- Monthly reporting period: From 0:00 am on the 1st of the month to 24:00 pm on the last day of the month.
- Quarterly reporting period:
- From 0:00 am on January 1 to 24:00 pm on March 31 each year;- From 0:00 am on April 1 to 24:00 pm on June 30 each year;- From 0:00 am on July 1 to 24:00 pm on September 30 each year;- From 0:00 am on October 1 to 24:00 pm on December 31 each year.
- Semi-annual reporting period:
- From 0:00 am on January 1 to 24:00 pm on June 30 each year;- From 0:00 am on July 1 to 24:00 pm on December 31 each year.
- Nine-month reporting period: From 0:00 am on January 1 to 24:00 pm on September 30 each year.
- Annual reporting period: From 0:00 am on January 1 to 24:00 pm on December 31 of that statistical reporting period.
- Urgent statistical reporting: In cases where urgent statistical reports are needed to meet the management requirements of the Ministry of Health, the requesting agency must submit a written request clearly stating the specific time, deadline, and reporting criteria.
