Circular 26/2017/TT-BGTVT: General Principles

Circular 26/2017/TT-BGTVT stipulates the uniforms, insignias, epaulets, and badges of officials and public employees and personnel of the Inland Waterway Port Authority issued on August 2, 2017. This Circular stipulates the general principles as follows:

1. Civil servants, public employees, and staff of inland waterway port authorities are provided with uniforms, insignia, badges, and nameplates according to appropriate policies and timelines as stipulated in Circular 26/2017/TT-BGTVT.

2. Civil servants, public employees, and staff of inland waterway port authorities shall use uniforms, insignia, badges, and nameplates while performing official duties and assigned tasks; they must not use uniforms, insignia, badges, nameplates, and symbols that have been improperly issued.

3. Individuals assigned to perform inspection functions in the transportation sector at inland waterway port authorities under the Vietnam Inland Waterways Authority shall use uniforms, insignia, badges, and nameplates as regulated in Circular 26/2017/TT-BGTVT and Circular 52/2015/TT-BGTVT on insignia, symbols, uniforms, vehicles, and technical equipment of transportation inspectors.

4. Civil servants, public employees, and staff of inland waterway port authorities are responsible for maintaining and preserving the uniforms, insignia, badges, and nameplates provided to them. If the uniforms, insignia, badges, and nameplates are lost or damaged within their period of use, they must immediately report to the Director of the Inland Waterway Port Authority.

5. Civil servants, public employees, and staff of inland waterway port authorities who transfer to different jobs, change their job positions, take leave, resign, or are disciplined with dismissal must return the issued insignia, badges, and nameplates.

6. In cases where uniforms, insignia, badges, nameplates, and symbols are lost or damaged while performing duties or due to force majeure, they shall be replaced.

Circular 26/2017/TT-BGTVT takes effect on January 1, 2018.
