On August 20, 2020, the Minister of Information and Communications in Vietnam issued Circular 18/2020/TT-BTTTT on the Planning of the 2300-2400 MHz and 2500-2690 MHz frequency bands for IMT mobile communication systems in Vietnam.

In Article 2 of Circular 18/2020/TT-BTTTT, regulations on the planning of the 2500-2690 MHz frequency band for IMT mobile communication systems in Vietnam are as follows:
1. The 2300-2400 MHz frequency band is divided as follows:
- The 2300-2390 MHz frequency band is divided into 02 Time Division Duplex (TDD) blocks: A1 with a frequency bandwidth of 50 MHz and A2 with a frequency bandwidth of 40 MHz.
- The 2390-2400 MHz frequency band is reserved as a guard frequency band.
2. The 2500-2690 MHz frequency band is divided as follows:
The 2500-2690 MHz frequency band is divided into 02 TDD blocks: B1 with a frequency bandwidth of 100 MHz and B2 with a frequency bandwidth of 90 MHz.
3. Each enterprise is considered for licensing no more than 01 block out of the total 04 blocks A1, A2, B1, B2 prescribed in Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article.
4. Enterprises licensed to use frequencies in the same 2300-2400 MHz frequency band or the same 2500-2690 MHz frequency band are responsible for cooperating with each other to avoid harmful interference, synchronizing the data frame of the TDD method, and complying with the regulations of the license to use frequency band.
More details can be found in Circular 18/2020/TT-BTTTT effective from October 06, 2020.
