Circular 04/2014/TT-NHNN: Responsibilities of the Department of Forecasting and Statistics

Recently, Circular 04/2014/TT-NHNN was issued by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, stipulating statistical reporting and the public, transparent disclosure of information regarding the operations of the Vietnam Asset Management Company of credit institutions.

Aside from the responsibilities specified in Article 12 of Circular 04/2014/TT-NHNN, the Forecasting and Statistics Department has the following responsibilities:

- Acts as the focal unit for consolidating and presenting to the Governor for the issuance of amended, supplemented, or new reporting forms.- Serves as the focal unit in receiving written recommendations regarding the implementation of Circular 04, cooperating with relevant units to provide responses to the requesting unit.- Consolidates and advises the Governor of the State Bank on approving the exploitation rights of audited reports for units under the State Bank.- Monitors and urges the Asset Management Company to send complete and timely reports; upon receiving coordination reviews from Departments, Inspectorate Agencies, Bank Supervision, promptly sends review results to the Asset Management Company for correction and resubmission of accurate data via the computer network for relevant units to update and exploit the reports.- Coordinates with relevant units within the State Bank, recommending the Governor of the State Bank to handle violations of the Asset Management Company in complying with the regulations in Circular 04.
