Changing the Authority for Issuing Cards and Permits for Aviation Security Control

On November 17, 2017, the Ministry of Transport issued Circular 45/2017/TT-BGTVT amending and supplementing Circular 01/2016/TT-BGTVT, detailing regulations on the aviation security program and the quality control of aviation security in Vietnam.

Circular 45/2017/TT-BGTVT has amended and supplemented the authority to issue cards and aviation security control permits of the Vietnam Aviation Authority and Aviation Administrations, specifically as follows:

For the Vietnam Aviation Authority:

- Issuing long-term use aviation security control cards at airports nationwide for officers and employees of state management agencies, central agencies of political and social organizations, foreign agencies and organizations, or individuals with duties at multiple airports.

For Aviation Administrations:

- Issuing aviation security control cards for use at one or more airports under the management scope of the Administration for subjects specified in Clauses 1 and 6 of Article 16 of Circular 01;- Issuing aviation security control permits for use at one airport under the management scope for all subjects specified in Clauses 7 and 8 of Article 16 of Circular 01.
