Recently, the Minister of Education and Training (Hanoi, Vietnam) has issued Circular 26/2014/TT-BGDDT amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulation on assessing and grading students enrolled in the Continuing Education Program at the lower secondary and upper secondary levels in Vietnam issued together with Decision 02/2007/QD-BGDDT.
Circular 26/2014/TT-BGDDT guides the calculation of semester and whole year average grade for students of the Continuing Education Program at lower secondary and upper secondary levels in Vietnam, as follows:
- The semester grade average is the arithmetic mean of the average subject semester scores of all subjects:

- The whole year average grade is the arithmetic mean of the average annual subject scores of all subjects:

In which:
- ĐTBhk: Semester average grade
- ĐTBcn: Whole year average grade
- ĐTBmhk: Average subject semester score of the subject
- ĐTBmcn: Whole year average grade of the subject
Note: The semester and whole year average grade are either whole numbers or decimal numbers, with the decimal part retaining one digit according to the rounding rules.
