According to the regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge, the competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from the intermediate level, college level in the field of pharmaceutical production equipment technology issued along with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the college-level pharmaceutical production equipment technology field is a profession that performs installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment that produces pharmaceutical formulations; operating equipment to produce products; trading pharmaceutical production equipment; providing consultancy and supervision of the purchase, installation, or utilization of pharmaceutical production equipment; organizing the management, preservation, and monitoring the operation of pharmaceutical production equipment, meeting Level 5 requirements in the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.

Individuals working in the Pharmaceutical Production Equipment Technology profession are employed in pharmaceutical manufacturing companies and enterprises; companies that trade and manufacture pharmaceutical production equipment, hospitals that prepare pharmaceuticals; companies producing functional foods, cosmetics; veterinary medicine producers, and more.

When performing tasks such as installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of pharmaceutical production equipment, individuals typically work in high-cleanliness environments with significant electrical safety risks. Therefore, it is crucial to strictly and fully comply with labor protection policies, industrial hygiene, and adhere to electrical safety principles.

Note that the minimum knowledge volume is 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).
