Assignment of Personnel and Officers of the People’s Police for the Protection and Transportation of Special Goods

To transport special goods, it is necessary to arrange appropriate People's Police officers and soldiers for protection. The arrangement must comply with the following:

- Based on the security situation, order, social safety, means of transport, volume of special goods, and the transport schedule and itinerary, the responsible People's Police unit shall coordinate the armed escort in agreement with the agency directly managing the special goods to arrange People's Police officers and soldiers for the armed escort task.- The arrangement of officers and soldiers of the People's Police for the task of protecting special goods must ensure at least 02 officers and soldiers of the People's Police continuously perform duties on each cargo vehicle, escort vehicle, railway wagon, or on each domestic waterway or air transport vehicle.- For multi-day transportation on railway means, the arrangement of officers and soldiers shall be organized in shifts according to the duty schedule and must ensure working time in accordance with labor law.- During the transportation process, the People's Police officers and soldiers protecting the special goods are allowed to apply appropriate professional measures to protect the special goods. The use of weapons, support tools, means, and technical equipment for the professional tasks of protecting the transport of special goods must comply with the provisions of law on the management and use of weapons, support tools, and professional technical means.
