This content is mentioned in Circular 04/2014/TT-NHNN issued by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, stipulating statistical reporting and the disclosure and transparency of information regarding the operations of the Asset Management Company of Vietnamese credit institutions.
According to current legal regulations, the collection of statistical reports from the Vietnam Asset Management Company of credit institutions is to meet the requirements of performing the state management function over currency and banking activities of the State Bank. To ensure transparency and public disclosure of the Vietnam Asset Management Company's activities, the company must report to the Forecasting and Statistical Department – a unit under the organizational structure of the State Bank.
Some specific contents stipulated in Circular 04/2014/TT-NHNN are as follows:
- The Vietnam Asset Management Company shall prepare statistical reports according to the report templates stipulated in Appendix 1 attached to Circular 04 and send them to the State Bank.- In case it is necessary to serve the management and direction work, the Departments, Inspectorate Departments, and Bank Supervision Agencies shall submit to the Governor of the State Bank a request for the Vietnam Asset Management Company to report according to the report templates not stipulated in this Circular. The process of preparing report templates shall be implemented according to the provisions of Clauses 1 and 2, Article 12 of Circular 04.
Reporting Methods:
- The Vietnam Asset Management Company shall make reports by electronic reporting methods.
- An electronic report is a report in the form of an electronic data file transmitted over a computer network or sent through a data storage medium. The electronic report must have a full electronic signature of the head or an authorized person of the Vietnam Asset Management Company and must comply with the code, file structure, and transmission symbols regulated by the State Bank.
- In case the Vietnam Asset Management Company cannot make electronic reports due to objective reasons, the Vietnam Asset Management Company must send a written report to the State Bank.
- A written report is a paper report that must follow the stipulated report template format and bear the full seal, signature of the authorized person of the Vietnam Asset Management Company, and the signature, full name of the report preparer and the report controller.
