The People's Council of Lam Dong Province of Vietnam has officially adopted the Resolution approving the policy of rearranging district-level and commune-level administrative units in Lam Dong Province for the period 2023 - 2025.

The People's Council of Lam Dong Province issued Resolution 325/NQ-HDND on September 5, 2024, approving the policy to rearrange district-level and commune-level administrative units in the 2023 - 2025 period in Lam Dong Province of Vietnam.To be specific:

(1) Arranging district-level administrative units

Establish Da Huoai District by merging the entire natural area of 495.04 km² and population of 44,087 people of Da Huoai District; the entire natural area of 426.71 km² and population of 44,783 people of Cat Tien District; and the entire natural area of 526.73 km² and population of 57,194 people of Da Teh District. After establishment, Da Huoai District will have a natural area of 1,448.48 km² and a population of 146,064 people, including 32,217 ethnic minority people, accounting for 22.06%.

The working headquarters of the District Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Huoai District will be located in Da Teh District.

Da Huoai District borders Bao Loc City, Bao Lam District in Lam Dong Province; Tan Linh District, Duc Linh District in Binh Thuan Province; Tan Phu District in Dong Nai Province; Bu Dang District in Binh Phuoc Province; and Dak R’Lap District in Dak Nong Province.

(2) Arranging commune-level administrative units

- Establish Quang Tri Commune, Da Huoai District by merging the entire natural area of 32.15 km² and population of 3,106 people of Trieu Hai Commune and the entire natural area of 54.36 km² and population of 3,274 people of Quang Tri Commune. After establishment, Quang Tri Commune will have a natural area of 86.51 km² and a population of 6,380 people, including 163 ethnic minority people, accounting for 2.55%.

- Establish Quang Lap Commune, Don Duong District by merging the entire natural area of 9.79 km² and population of 6,877 people of Quang Lap Commune and the entire natural area of 87.84 km² and population of 7,300 people of Pro Commune. After establishment, Quang Lap Commune will have a natural area of 97.63 km² and a population of 14,177 people, including 4,998 ethnic minority people, accounting for 35.25%.

- Establish Ba Gia Commune, Da Huoai District by merging the entire natural area of 38.53 km² and population of 2,156 people of Doan Ket Commune and the entire natural area of 92.98 km² and population of 4,344 people of Da P’loa Commune. After establishment, Ba Gia Commune will have a natural area of 131.51 km² and a population of 6,500 people, including 3,211 ethnic minority people, accounting for 49.4%.

- Establish Ha Lam Commune, Da Huoai District by merging the entire natural area of 43.38 km² and population of 4,203 people of Ha Lam Commune and the entire natural area of 80.83 km² and population of 3,540 people of Phuoc Loc Commune. After establishment, Ha Lam Commune will have a natural area of 124.21 km² and a population of 7,743 people, including 2,962 ethnic minority people, accounting for 38.25%.

- Establish Da Oai Commune, Da Huoai District by merging the entire natural area of 45.12 km² and population of 1,660 people of Da Ton Commune and the entire natural area of 23.27 km² and population of 4,248 people of Da Oai Commune. After establishment, Da Oai Commune will have a natural area of 68.39 km² and a population of 5,908 people, including 826 ethnic minority people, accounting for 13.98%.

After rearranging district and commune-level administrative units for the 2023 - 2025 period, Lam Dong Province will have 10 district-level administrative units and 137 commune-level administrative units. Specifically:

- District-level includes 10 administrative units, consisting of 02 cities: Da Lat and Bao Loc; 08 districts: Lac Duong, Don Duong, Duc Trong, Lam Ha, Dam Rong, Di Linh, Bao Lam, and Da Huoai.

- Commune-level includes 137 administrative units, consisting of: 106 communes, 18 wards, and 13 commune-level towns:

+ Da Lat City has 16 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 12 wards and 04 communes.

+ Bao Loc City has 11 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 06 wards and 05 communes.

+ Lac Duong District has 06 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 01 commune-level town and 05 communes.

+ Don Duong District has 09 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 02 commune-level towns and 07 communes.

+ Duc Trong District has 15 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 01 commune-level town and 14 communes.

+ Lam Ha District has 16 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 02 commune-level towns and 14 communes.

+ Dam Rong District has 08 commune-level communes.

+ Di Linh District has 19 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 01 commune-level town and 18 communes.

+ Bao Lam District has 14 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 01 commune-level town and 13 communes.

+ Da Huoai District has 23 commune-level administrative units, comprising: 05 commune-level towns and 18 communes.
