This content is stipulated in Circular 08/2017/TT-BXD issued by the Ministry of Construction on May 16, 2017, regulating the management of construction solid waste.
Accordingly, Circular 08 stipulates that construction and demolition waste (CDW) that is reused must meet the technical standards as prescribed. To be specific:
- For construction works stipulated in Clause 1, Article 11 of Circular 08, it is encouraged to implement solutions related to the reuse and recycling of CDW directly at the construction site within the CDW management plan.
- Recyclable and reusable CDW is to be collected and transported to CDW treatment facilities for recycling and reuse.
- Concurrently, Circular 08 also stipulates the types of CDW that are recycled and reused for the following purposes:
- CDW in the form of concrete and brick debris is mainly recycled into coarse aggregate, which can be used as materials for the production of bricks, wall panels, floor tiles, other building materials, or for ground leveling;- For CDW such as wood and paper, it is mainly recycled as raw materials for paper and wood production, and as fuel;- For CDW in the form of asphalt mix, it can be recycled into asphalt concrete materials (aggregate form);- For scrap steel and other metal materials, they can be directly reused or used as raw materials for the metallurgy industry;- Other types of CDW, depending on their nature and characteristics (components), are reused or recycled according to the appropriate usage purpose.
