Approval of the Project "Vietnam Farmers' Association participating in collective economic development in agriculture until 2030" (Internet image) 

Regarding this issue, LawNet would like to answer as follows:

On February 20, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision 182/QD-TTg approving the Project of Vietnam Farmers' Union participating in collective economic development in agriculture until 2030.

Approval of the Project "Vietnam Farmers' Association participating in collective economic development in agriculture until 2030"

Specifically, the objectives of the Project "Vietnam Farmers' Association participating in collective economic development in agriculture until 2030" are as follows:

(1) General objective

Enhance the role and effectiveness of participation in collective economic development in agriculture of the Farmers' Association; arouse the spirit of cooperation, entrepreneurship, and creativity of members and farmers; attract more and more members, farmers, individuals, and organizations to participate in collective economic development in agriculture; contribute to improving the income and quality of life of members and households; fulfill social roles and responsibilities; and promote sustainable development.

(2) Specific goals

- By 2025:

+ Consulting and supporting the establishment of at least 250 new cooperatives and 1,500 cooperative groups in agriculture; consolidating and improving the quality and operational efficiency of at least 750 agricultural cooperatives mobilized, guided and supported to be established by Farmers' Associations at all levels.

+ Attracting an additional 5% of farmer member households to join collective economic organizations in agriculture.

+ Supporting at least 10% of branches of the Professional Farmers' Association and Professional Farmers' Association groups to develop into cooperatives and agricultural cooperative groups.

+ At least 30% of agricultural cooperatives established with support from the Farmers' Association participate in production and business links with other businesses and economic organizations; 25% of agricultural cooperatives are supported in accessing credit capital sources.

+ 100% of Farmers' Association officials at all levels working to support collective economic development are trained to improve knowledge and skills in propaganda, advocacy, consulting, and supporting farmers to develop collective economies. ; At least 70% of key officials of agricultural cooperatives established with support from the Farmers' Association will participate in training to improve their management, expertise, and professional skills.

- By 2030:

+ Consulting and supporting the establishment of at least 750 new cooperatives and 4,000 cooperative groups in agriculture; consolidating and improving the quality and operational efficiency of 1,500 agricultural cooperatives mobilized, guided, and supported to be established by Farmers' Associations at all levels.

+ Attracting 10% more farmer member households to join collective economic organizations in agriculture.

+ Supporting at least 15% of branches of the Professional Farmers' Association and Professional Farmers' Association groups to develop into cooperatives and agricultural cooperative groups.

+ At least 45% of agricultural cooperatives established with support from the Farmers' Association participate in production and business links with other businesses and economic organizations; 30% of agricultural cooperatives are supported in accessing credit capital sources.

+ 100% of Farmers' Association officials at all levels working to support collective economic development are trained to improve knowledge and skills in propaganda, advocacy, consulting, and supporting farmers to develop collective economies; At least 90% of key officials of agricultural cooperatives established with support from the Farmers' Association will participate in training to improve their management, expertise, and professional skills.
