Article 11 of Circular 09/2012/TT-BNV stipulates that 5 working days before the inspection period ends according to the issued inspection decision, the Head of the Inspection Team must submit a written proposal to the person who issued the inspection decision to extend the inspection period in Vietnam. The proposal document must clearly state the reason, extension period, and different opinions of the Inspection Team members about the extension request (if any). The inspection period extension in Vietnam is implemented according to the provisions of Article 16 of Decree 07/2012/ND-CP.

- Within 2 working days from the receipt of the Head of the Inspection Team's proposal, the person who issued the inspection decision must review and decide on the extension of the inspection period.

- The decision to extend the inspection period must be sent to the Inspection Team, the inspection subject, and relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals.

Additionally, the completion of the direct inspection at the inspected location is specified as follows:

- Before concluding the direct inspection at the inspected location, the Head of the Inspection Team must organize a meeting of the Inspection Team to unify the tasks to be performed until the final day of direct inspection at the inspected location.

- The Head of the Inspection Team reports to the person who issued the inspection decision about the projected conclusion of the inspection at the inspected location.

- The Head of the Inspection Team must notify in writing about the time of concluding the direct inspection at the inspected location to the head of the agency or unit being inspected.

- The content of the notice about the conclusion of the direct inspection at the inspected location includes:

- Announcing the end time of the direct inspection at the inspected agency or unit;

- Requesting the inspected subject to fully and promptly meet the requests of the Inspection Team regarding information and documents related to the process of the Inspection Team preparing the inspection result report.

Details can be found in Circular 09/2012/TT-BNV, which comes into effect in Vietnam from February 1, 2013.
