Application for designation to carry out quality and food safety inspection for imported goods in Vietnam (Illustrative image)

To be specific: Circular 05/2007/TT-BYT stipulates that organizations and units that meet the conditions must submit an application dossier to the Ministry of Health of Vietnam for consideration and decision on designation to carry out the quality and food safety inspection for imported goods. The dossier (02 sets) includes:

- Application form (as specified in Appendix I of this Circular);

- List of personnel conducting inspections and testing (as specified in Appendix II of this Circular);

- List of measuring and testing equipment (as specified in Appendix III of this Circular);

- List of documents, technical regulations, international standards, Vietnamese standards, technical documents, inspection, and testing procedures corresponding to the product and goods categories for which designation is sought (as specified in Appendix IV of this Circular);

- Contract for the use of external testing laboratories (in cases where there is insufficient necessary equipment to test all quality and food safety criteria for the foods, the use of external testing laboratories to test the remaining criteria is permitted);

- Establishment decision of the organization and other related documents;

- Report on the current situation of imported foods passing through the managed border gates.
