The contents mentioned in Announcement 278/TB-UBND dated December 04, 2024, concerning the Lunar New Year holiday, Independence Day, Victory Day on April 30, and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025, for officials and public employees and employees.
The People's Committee of the Province announces the holiday schedule for the Lunar New Year, Independence Day, Victory Day on April 30, and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025, within the Hai Duong area as follows:
(1) Officials and public employees and employees of administrative agencies, career institutions, political organizations, and socio-political organizations are arranged to have the following days off:
- Lunar New Year Holiday 2025: from Saturday, January 25, 2025 (Gregorian calendar) (corresponding to the 26th day of the 12th month of the year Giap Thin) until the end of Sunday, February 2, 2025 (Gregorian calendar) (corresponding to the 5th day of the first month of the year At Ty). This break includes 5 days of Lunar New Year holiday and 4 weekly days off;
- Independence Day Holiday 2025: from Saturday, August 30, 2025, until the end of Tuesday, September 2, 2025 (Gregorian calendar). This break includes 2 days of Independence Day holiday and 2 weekly days off;
- Victory Day on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025: from Wednesday, April 30, 2025, until the end of Sunday, May 4, 2025 (compensatory work on Saturday, April 26, 2025);
- Agencies and units implementing the Lunar New Year holiday, Independence Day holiday, Victory Day on April 30, and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025, should ensure: arranging continuous operation departments according to regulations and reasonable work arrangements to continuously resolve work, ensuring good service for organizations and the public, with particular attention to assigning officials to handle urgent and unexpected tasks that may arise during the holidays;
- Agencies, units, and localities should plan specific, suitable measures to encourage units, enterprises, organizations, and individuals to actively implement production, business, economic, and social activities, ensuring stability in the supply and demand of goods, services, prices, and market, contributing to promoting production, business activities, economic growth, practicing thrift, combating wastefulness, striving to successfully achieve the goals and tasks of the plan for 2025, the year of acceleration and breakthrough to implement the five-year plan 2021-2025, creating a solid foundation and premise for fast and sustainable development in the coming time;
- Agencies, units that do not implement fixed weekly days off on Saturday and Sunday, will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange appropriate holidays, according to compliance with the law.
(2) For employees not falling under the subjects stipulated in item (1), the employer shall decide upon the option for Lunar New Year, Independence Day, Victory Day on April 30, and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025, as follows:
- For the Lunar New Year holiday: choose 01 day at the end of the year Giap Thin and 04 days at the beginning of the year At Ty or 02 days at the end of the year Giap Thin and 03 days at the beginning of the year At Ty, or 03 days at the end of the year Giap Thin and 02 days at the beginning of the year At Ty;
- For the Independence Day holiday: Tuesday, September 2, 2025 (Gregorian calendar) and choose 01 out of 02 days: Monday, September 1, 2025, or Wednesday, September 3, 2025 (Gregorian calendar);
- Notify the plan for the Lunar New Year and Independence Day holidays to employees at least 30 days in advance before implementation;
- If the weekly day off coincides with the holiday stipulated in paragraph 1 Article 112 of the Labor Code, employees will have compensatory weekly day off on the next working day according to paragraph 3 Article 111 of the Labor Code;
- Employers are encouraged to apply the Lunar New Year, Independence Day, Victory Day on April 30, and International Labor Day holiday periods for employees as stipulated for officials and public employees.
(3) Other weekly, holiday, and Tet breaks are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code.
