Announcement of schedule for Lunar New Year holiday in Binh Thuan Province

On December 9, 2024, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province issued Notice 377/TB-UBND regarding the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day April 30, and International Labor Day May 1, 2025, for officials and public employees and employees.

This notice is directed to administrative authorities, career units, political organizations, socio-political organizations, enterprises, and other employers to implement the following holiday schedule for the Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day April 30, and International Labor Day May 1, 2025:

1. Officials and public employees and employees in administrative agencies, career units, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday from Saturday, January 25, 2025 (i.e., the 26th day of the twelfth lunar month of the Year of the Dragon) to Sunday, February 2, 2025 (i.e., the 5th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake). This period includes 5 days of Lunar New Year holiday and 4 weekly days off.

2. Officials and public employees are entitled to a National Day holiday in 2025 from Saturday, August 30, 2025, to Tuesday, September 2, 2025. This holiday includes 2 National Day holidays and 2 weekly days off.

3. Officials and public employees can swap the working day from Friday, May 2, 2025, to Saturday, April 26, 2025. Thus, for the Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1, 2025, officials and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to Sunday, May 4, 2025 (making up on Saturday, April 26, 2025).

4. Agencies and units implementing the holiday schedule for the Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day April 30, and International Labor Day May 1, 2025, should arrange staffing and allocate positions to maintain continuous work and services for the organization and people, emphasizing assigning officials on-duty to handle any sudden, unexpected tasks that may occur during the holiday as per regulations.

5. Agencies and units are encouraged to have specific, appropriate plans and measures to encourage units, enterprises, organizations, and individuals to actively engage in production, business, economy, and social activities, ensure stability in the supply and demand of goods, services, pricing, and market, thus contributing to economic production, business growth, cost-saving, and waste reduction. This aims to achieve the goals and tasks of the 2025 plan, the year of acceleration in the 5-year plan from 2021-2025, setting a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable development in the coming time.

6. Agencies and units not implementing fixed weekly time off on Saturdays and Sundays should schedule holidays based on the specific program and plan of the unit, in conformity with the law.

7. For employees not covered by clause 1 of this Notice, employers will decide the holiday options for the Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day April 30, and International Labor Day May 1, 2025, as follows:

   - For the Lunar New Year holiday: Choose 1 day at the end of the Year of the Dragon and 4 days at the beginning of the Year of the Snake or 2 days at the end of the Year of the Dragon and 3 days at the beginning of the Year of the Snake, or 3 days at the end of the Year of the Dragon and 2 days at the beginning of the Year of the Snake.

   - For the National Day holiday: Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and choose 1 out of 2 days: Monday, September 1, 2025, or Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

   - Notify the holiday plan for the Lunar New Year and National Day of 2025 to employees at least 30 days in advance.

   - If a weekly day off overlaps with a holiday, as stipulated in clause 1, Article 112 of the Labor Code, employees are entitled to an additional day off on the subsequent working day as per the provisions of clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.

   - Employers are encouraged to apply the Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day April 30, and International Labor Day May 1, 2025, holiday for employees as stipulated for officials and public employees.

8. Other holidays and festivals comply with the regulations of the Labor Code.
