This is the notable content stipulated in Circular 172/2018/TT-BQP amending and supplementing Circular 102/2016/TT-BQP regarding the registration, management, and use of motor vehicles in the Ministry of National Defense.
Circular 172 has amended and supplemented provisions on the signatures for military vehicle registration plates, with specific new regulations as follows:
The signature for the registration plate is uniquely designated for each agency and unit under the Ministry of National Defense. In the event of the establishment of a new agency or unit under the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff will direct the competent authority to register additional plates in accordance with the regulations, ensuring uniformity and formality.
In addition, information relating to military vehicle registration plates is regulated by law as follows:
- Retrieval of registration plates in the following cases: Damaged plates, vehicles decommissioned, vehicles transferred between agencies and major units under the Ministry of National Defense. In cases where the registration plate is lost and unretrievable, the head of the technical authority under the Ministry of National Defense is responsible for reporting, explaining to the competent authority for review and decision.- When the registration plate is lost or damaged: The directly managing agency or unit must be responsible for inspecting, reporting to the superior vehicle and machinery authority to request the Vehicle and Machinery Department to consider re-issuing or replacing the plate.
