Recently, the Government of Vietnam has signed and issued Decree 24/2020/ND-CP detailing certain provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcoholic Beverages.

Decree 24/2020/ND-CP stipulates the remuneration for those performing screening and early detection of risk factors for the health of alcohol and beer drinkers; those with diseases or functional disorders caused by drinking alcohol or beer; and alcohol and beer addicts as follows:
- Payment for employees under labor contracts: The worker's wages and allowances will be paid as agreed based on the productivity, quality, and efficiency of the worker's job as well as according to legal regulations on wage policies and salaries.
- Remuneration for medical staff and collaborators involved in screening work: VND 20,000 per person per session.
- Remuneration for medical staff participating in screening work at night and overtime shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and guidance documents on the implementation of policies regarding night work and overtime for officials, public employees, and workers.
Additionally, the Decree also stipulates the following related expenses:
- Expenses for the procurement of equipment, supplies, documents, and office supplies as regulated by laws on budgeting and bidding.
- Expenses for developing and printing documents to serve the screening and early detection activities as required and suitable to specialized content.
- Expenses for conducting paraclinical techniques according to the specialized procedures of the Ministry of Health for those with health insurance cards, which will be covered by health insurance in accordance with the regulations of the Minister of Health.
