Allowance for People's Council Delegates

According to Clause 2, Article 2 of Resolution 1206/2016/NQ-UBTVQH13, Deputies of the People's Council (including both full-time and part-time deputies) are entitled to receive a monthly activity allowance as follows:

- Deputies of the People's Council at the commune level: Coefficient 0.3 statutory pay rate;- Deputies of the People's Council at the district level: Coefficient 0.4 statutory pay rate;- Deputies of the People's Council at the provincial level: Coefficient 0.5 statutory pay rate;

In addition to the monthly activity allowance, Deputies of the People's Council are also entitled to other policies, such as:

- Participation in social insurance and health insurance as regulated by law;- In the event that a Deputy of the People's Council passes away and the person responsible for the funeral arrangements does not qualify for a funeral grant from the Social Insurance Fund or is not eligible for a funeral grant from the state budget, they are entitled to a one-time funeral allowance equal to 10 times the statutory pay rate, paid by the respective People's Council from the state budget;- Deputies of the People's Council who complete their duties exceptionally well are eligible for commendation according to regulations.

Deputies of the People's Council are also provided with funds for voter contact activities, supervision, support for travel expenses; periodic health check-ups and care; ceremonial attire; research; study, and professional training as decided by the provincial People's Council.

The statutory pay rate applicable from May 01, 2016, is VND 1,210,000 (based on the provisions of Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 47/2016/ND-CP).

Thus, for Deputies of the People's Council at the district level, in addition to the activity allowance with a coefficient of 0.4 statutory pay rate, deputies are also entitled to other policies, such as insurance, funeral support, commendation, research, and study, among others.
