Below is important content specified in Circular 53/2012/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport on planning management, investment in construction of hydroelectric projects, and operation and exploitation of hydroelectric projects to protect the environment in civil aviation activities in Vietnam, issued on December 25, 2012.
Airport wastewater treatment systems in Vietnam must met quality under national standards (Internet image)
Specifically, Article 7 of Circular 53/2012/TT-BGTVT regulates airport environmental infrastructures in Vietnam include:
- Solid waste transfer stations;
- Wastewater collection, treatment and drainage systems;
In paricular, every transfer station in Vietnam shall:
- be conformable to the airport detailed planning;
- be not harmful to the environment;
- not affect the scenic beauty of the airport;
- facilitate transport of wastes.
Wastewater collection, treatment and drainage treatments shall be designed to be able to treat wastewater in accordance with the national technical regulation on domestic water and national technical regulation on industrial water.
Airport operators shall be responsible for constructing and operating environmental infrastructures in the airport. Business establishment’s owners and service providers in airports shall be responsible for constructing environmental infrastructures within the scope of operation in the harmony with airport environmental infrastructures.
