Administrative Inspection in Education: Applicable Subjects

The authority and subjects of administrative inspection in the field of education are stipulated by the Government of Vietnam in Decree 42/2013/ND-CP. To be specific:

- Ministry of Education and Training Inspectorate: Conducts administrative inspections on national universities; regional universities; academies; universities, institutes; senior colleges; vocational schools; agencies, organizations, individuals under the management of the Ministry of Education and Training; state-owned enterprises established by the Minister of Education and Training.- Ministry-level and equivalent agencies Inspectorate: Conducts administrative inspections on universities, academies, institutes; senior colleges; vocational schools; agencies, organizations, individuals under the management of ministries and equivalent agencies.- Provincial Inspectorate: Conducts administrative inspections on universities, academies, institutes; senior colleges (excluding public universities, academies, institutes, and senior colleges managed by ministries or equivalent agencies located in the area); agencies, organizations, individuals under the management of the provincial People's Committee as per the defined jurisdiction.- Department of Education and Training Inspectorate: Conducts administrative inspections on vocational schools (excluding public vocational schools managed by ministries or equivalent agencies located in the area); provincial educational management training schools; high schools, multi-level schools that include high school grades; continued education centers; agencies, organizations, individuals under the management of the Department of Education and Training.- District Inspectorate: Conducts administrative inspections on preschool education institutions; primary schools, lower secondary schools, multi-level schools that include lower secondary grades; organizations, individuals under the management of the district People's Committee as per the defined jurisdiction.

Thus, there are 05 educational inspection agencies authorized to perform administrative inspections on educational institutions nationwide, specifically referenced at Decree 42/2013/ND-CP.
