Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Circular 02/2011/TT-BKHCN regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of several communes, wards, and districts; the establishment of communes; the expansion of commune-level towns within the districts: Yen Hung, Tien Yen, Dam Ha, Hai Ha, district-level town of Uong Bi, and Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province of Vietnam.
Adjustments to 30 hectares from Tien Toi Commune to Quang Phong Commune, Hai Ha District of Vietnam (Illustrative image)
Decree 58/2006/ND-CP stipulates the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Tien Toi commune, Quang Phong commune, Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province of Vietnam as follows:
- Adjusting 30 hectares of natural area and 432 inhabitants of Tien Toi commune to be under the management of Quang Phong commune.
- Quang Phong commune has 7,825.3 hectares of natural area and 3,814 inhabitants.
- Administrative boundaries of Quang Phong commune: East borders the sea and Quang Dien commune, Hai Ha district; West borders Tien Toi commune and Duong Hoa commune, Hai Ha district; South borders the sea; North borders Quang Dien commune and Quang Long commune, Hai Ha district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
- Tien Toi commune remains with 396.0 hectares of natural area and 1,541 inhabitants.
- Hai Ha district has 52,611.34 hectares of natural area and 50,457 inhabitants, with 16 subordinate administrative units including the communes: Quang Duc, Quang Thanh, Quang Thang, Quang Minh, Quang Thinh, Phu Hai, Quang Chinh, Quang Trung, Cai Chien, Quang Long, Quang Dien, Quang Son, Duong Hoa, Quang Phong, Tien Toi and commune-level town Quang Ha.
