Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 65/2007/ND-CP on the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Cam Ranh district-level town and Dien Khanh district to establish Cam Lam district; adjustment of administrative boundaries to establish communes, commune-level towns under the districts: Cam Lam, Truong Sa, and expansion of Cam Nghia ward under Cam Ranh district-level town, Khanh Hoa province in Vietnam.

Decree 65/2007/ND-CP adjusts the administrative boundaries of Cam Hai Dong commune to expand Cam Nghia ward under Cam Ranh district-level town in Vietnam:
- Adjust 8.934 hectares of natural area from Cam Hai Dong commune to Cam Nghia ward under Cam Ranh district-level town for management.
- Cam Nghia ward will have 10.509 hectares of natural area and a population of 13,094 people.
- Administrative boundaries of Cam Nghia ward: East borders the East Sea; West borders Cam Thanh Nam commune; South borders Cam Phuc Bac ward; North borders Cam Thanh Bac commune, Cam Lam district.
Additionally, this Decree stipulates the establishment of commune-level town Cam Duc under Cam Lam district, commune-level town Truong Sa under Truong Sa district, and Song Tu Tay commune under Truong Sa district as follows:
- Establish commune-level town Cam Duc under Cam Lam district on the basis of the entire 952 hectares of natural area and 10,647 people from Cam Duc commune; 631 hectares of natural area and 4,184 people from Cam Hai Tay commune. Cam Duc town will have 1,583 hectares of natural area and 14,831 people. The administrative boundaries of Cam Duc town: East borders Cam Hai Dong commune; West borders Cam Hiep Bac commune and Cam Hiep Nam commune; South borders Cam Thanh Bac commune; North borders Cam Hai Tay commune.
- Establish commune-level town Truong Sa under Truong Sa district on the basis of Truong Sa Lon island and adjacent islands, rocks, and reefs.
- Establish Song Tu Tay commune under Truong Sa district on the basis of Song Tu Tay island and adjacent islands, rocks, and reefs.
