Adjustment of Quan Tru Ward to Establish Lam Ha Ward, Kien An District, Hai Phong City

Recently, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree 54/2007/ND-CP regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards, and the establishment of wards and commune-level towns under the districts of Hai An, Le Chan, Kien An, and An Lao, Hai Phong city.

Decree 54/2007/ND-CP provides for the establishment of Lam Ha Ward under Kien An District on the basis of adjusting 175.22 hectares of natural area and 12,968 population of Quan Tru Ward. To be specific:

- Lam Ha Ward has 175.22 hectares of natural area and 12,968 population.

- Administrative boundaries of Lam Ha Ward: East borders Dong Hoa Ward; West borders Bac Son Ward; South borders Nam Son Ward; North borders Quan Tru Ward and An Duong District.

- After adjusting administrative boundaries: Quan Tru Ward remains 158.4 hectares of natural area and 11,184 population. Kien An District has 10 subordinate administrative units, including the wards: Bac Son, Ngoc Son, Tran Thanh Ngo, Dong Hoa, Nam Son, Phu Lien, Trang Minh, Van Dau, Quan Tru, Lam Ha.

At the same time, this Decree also provides for the establishment of Truong Son commune-level town under An Lao District on the basis of the entire existing natural area and population of Truong Son Commune.

- Truong Son commune-level town has 359.83 hectares of natural area and 7,823 population.

- Administrative boundaries of Truong Son commune-level town: East borders Kien An District; West borders An Tien Commune and An Thang Commune; South borders Thai Son Commune; North borders An Duong District.

- After establishing Truong Son commune-level town, An Lao District has 17 subordinate administrative units, including the communes: Bat Trung, Truong Tho, Truong Thanh, An Tien, An Thang, Tan Dan, Thai Son, An Thai, An Tho, My Duc, Chien Thang, Tan Vien, Quoc Tuan, Quang Trung, Quang Hung and the commune-level towns of An Lao and Truong Son.
