Adjacent Land to Urban Area Project to be Repossessed and Auctioned

This is a notable content in the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 37 Laws related to planning (referred to as Law No. 35/2018/QH14).

According to the new regulations, when formulating provincial land use plans, it is necessary to identify the location and area of land to be reclaimed in adjacent areas for infrastructure projects, urban area construction, and rural residential areas for auctioning land use rights. In addition, the plan includes the following contents:

- Analyzing and evaluating the results of the implementation of provincial land use plans in the previous period;- Identifying the area of various types of land according to the allocation plan and land zoning in the provincial planning during the land use plan period by year and down to each district-level administrative unit;- Identifying the area of various types of land that need to be converted for use purposes during the land use plan period by year and down to each district-level administrative unit;- Preparing a provincial land use plan map;- Solutions for implementing the land use plan.
