Actively Preventing Overcharging at the Beginning of the 2019-2020 School Year

This is one of the notable points in Resolution 69/NQ-CP on the regular session of the Government of Vietnam in August 2019, issued on September 13, 2019.

To be specific, in order to comprehensively achieve the objectives and targets of the 2019 plan, to create a solid foundation for 2020, the final year of the term, and to successfully implement the 2016-2020 five-year plan, the Government of Vietnam requests the Ministry of Education and Training to focus on the following key contents:

- Concentrate on directing the implementation of the new 2019-2020 academic year practically and effectively;

- Enhance the management of fees, taking measures to prevent excessive collection at the beginning of the school year;

- Ensure school security, safety, and hygiene;

- Emphasize building school culture and equipping students with life skills;

- Promote moral and lifestyle education, and build a healthy, democratic, and disciplined educational environment;

- Take the lead and cooperate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Finance to develop a mechanism for ordering teacher training, addressing the shortage of teachers;

- Review and correct the training of second-degree university education, preventing any negative occurrences;

- Fully and effectively implement educational development policies for disadvantaged areas, ethnic minority areas, and policy beneficiaries.

Additionally, the Government of Vietnam also requests the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and related ministries and agencies to actively implement the Action Program to execute the Central Resolutions on the reform of social insurance policies and salary policies according to their assigned functions and tasks.
