14 skills required for the industrial wastewater treatment at college level in Vietnam (Illustration)

Circular 56/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates that students in the industrial wastewater treatment industry at the college level must meet the following skills:

- Proficient use of laboratory instruments and equipment, as well as the ability to use chemicals and prepare chemicals according to required concentrations;

- Proficient execution of operations in analyzing fundamental environmental indicators and evaluating the quality of wastewater environment;

- Application of occupational safety issues during work in the laboratory and the wastewater treatment system;

- Proficient operation of the wastewater treatment system;

- Performing maintenance and servicing of the wastewater treatment system;

- Planning, monitoring, periodic inspection, and measurement of necessary parameters to stably operate the wastewater treatment system according to processing procedures;

- Planning periodic inspections, maintenance of machinery and equipment in the wastewater treatment system;

- Calculating fundamental design parameters and operational parameters in the wastewater treatment system;

- Providing technical consultation for medium and small-scale wastewater treatment systems;

- Inspecting technical parameters of equipment types in the wastewater treatment system;

- Carrying out construction and installation of equipment in medium and small-scale wastewater treatment projects;

- Updating new knowledge about technology and operational procedures of the wastewater treatment system;

- Using basic information technology according to regulations; exploring, processing, and applying information technology in specialized work of the industry and occupation;

- Using basic foreign languages, achieving level 2/6 in the Vietnamese foreign language proficiency framework; applying foreign languages in specialized work of the industry and occupation.
