The Ministry of Health issued Circular 26/2017/TT-BYT on June 26, 2017, specifically listing 12 specialized departments of the center for disease control.
Accordingly, the 12 specialized departments of the Center for Disease Control listed specifically in Circular 26 include:
- Department of Communicable Disease Prevention and Control.- Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control.- Department of Non-communicable Disease Prevention and Control.- Department of Nutrition.- Department of Environmental Health - School Health - Occupational Disease; in localities with industrial zones and demand, a separate Occupational Disease Department can be established.- Department of Reproductive Health.- Department of Health Communication and Education.- Department of Parasitology - Entomology.- Department of International Medical Quarantine (where border medical quarantine activities are conducted).- Department of Pharmacy - Medical Supplies.- Department of Laboratory - Diagnostic Imaging - Functional Exploration.- General and Specialized Clinics (implemented when meeting the conditions as prescribed by healthcare laws and decided upon by the competent state authorities).
At the same time, Circular 26 also stipulates that based on the nature, characteristics, needs, and capabilities of each locality, the Director of the Department of Health shall decide in accordance with their authority or submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to decide on the establishment, separation, or integration of departments; specifying the tasks of the departments according to the guidelines in this Circular to ensure the provision of professional, technical, and business services in accordance with actual needs and as prescribed by law.
