These 10 standards are detailed in Circular 39/2010/TT-BGDDT Regulations on evaluation and classification of student affairs of universities, colleges, and professional secondary schools issued by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.

According to the provisions of Circular 39/2010/TT-BGDDT, these 10 standards for evaluating student affairs are as follows:
- Standard 1: Organization, management system, and administrative work
- Standard 2: Student management
- Standard 3: Education on political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and evaluation of students' training results
- Standard 4: Organization of cultural, artistic activities and student movement activities
- Standard 5: Organization of extracurricular sports activities for students
- Standard 6: Implementation of policies for students
- Standard 7: Career guidance, job counseling, and support services for students
- Standard 8: Ensuring school security, traffic safety education, crime prevention, and social evils
- Standard 9: School healthcare
- Standard 10: Incentive targets
Thus, universities and colleges are responsible for organizing and implementing activities according to the 10 standards for evaluating student affairs above, as well as organizing the self-evaluation and rating of their student affairs activities, and reporting the results in accordance with the regulations. Additionally, schools need to base on the specific situation to develop programs and plans to enhance student affairs work according to the evaluation standards.
