09 Techniques to Note When Presenting the Foreword Section of the Gazette Publication

Accordingly, Circular 01 stipulates that when presenting the header of the Official Gazette publication, the following points should be noted:

- The National Emblem is presented with dimensions of 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm; printed in color as regulated.- The national motto: “SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM” is presented in uppercase letters, font size 14, upright, bold, red ink, and at the top right corner.- The slogan: “Independence - Freedom - Happiness” is presented in lowercase letters, font size 14, upright, bold, red ink, immediately below the national motto; the first letters of the phrases are capitalized, hyphens (-) between the phrases, spaced out; below is a double line, horizontal, solid line, red ink, with a length equal to the length of the text line.- The word OFFICIAL GAZETTE is presented in uppercase letters, font size 60, upright, bold, red ink, with a double line, horizontal, solid line, red ink below, with a length equal to the width of the content section of the Official Gazette publication (from left margin to right margin).- For provincial Official Gazette: The name of the province or city where published is presented in lowercase letters, font size 18, italic, bold, black ink.- The Official Gazette number is calculated annually, in ascending order starting from 01 and presented in lowercase letters, font size 14, upright, bold.- The date, month, and year of the Official Gazette number must be written in full, presented in lowercase letters, font size 14, upright, bold; the digits of the date, month, and year use Arabic numerals; for dates less than 10 and months 1, 2, a leading zero must be added.- The table of contents is a list of documents published in the Official Gazette. The table of contents is presented in uppercase letters, font size 26, upright, bold, black ink, centered on the page, with a horizontal line, solid line below, with a length equal to 1/2 the length of the text line and balanced with the text line.

- The contents include “LEGAL DOCUMENTS”, “OTHER LEGAL DOCUMENTS” and “INTERNATIONAL TREATIES” (if any) presented in uppercase letters, font size 14, upright, bold, centered on the page;

- The name of the issuing agency of the document is presented in uppercase letters, font size 14, upright, centered on the page; for international treaties, the name of the issuing agency is not written;

- The date, month, and year of document issuance must be written in full, presented in lowercase letters, font size 14, upright; the digits of the date, month, and year use Arabic numerals; for dates less than 10 and months 1 and 2, a leading zero must be added, using hyphens (-) between date, month, and year;

- The type of document, number, symbol, summary content, page number are presented in lowercase letters, font size 14, upright;

- If a document is long and published in multiple Official Gazette issues, the phrase “Published from Official Gazette no. ... to no. ...” is added in parentheses, presented in lowercase letters, font size 14, upright, right-aligned. Example:

(Published from Official Gazette no. 08 + 09 to no. 38 + 39).

- The presentation technique of the header of the Official Gazette publication follows the template enclosed with the Appendix of Circular 01.
