08 Contents on Marine and Island Environmental Pollution Control

- Leadership, direction, and management work for marine and island environmental pollution control;- Review, systematize; monitor, and inspect the implementation status of legal documents on marine and island environmental pollution control;- Investigate, inventory, classify, and evaluate pollution sources from land, marine, and island activities; and the status of marine and island environmental pollution;- Periodically monitor and evaluate the current state of water quality, sediments, and biodiversity in marine and island areas;- Prevent, detect, handle, and remediate environmental pollution and degradation conditions, marine and island ecosystems; improve and restore polluted and degraded marine and island ecosystems;- Respond to and remediate marine environmental incidents;- Propagate, disseminate, and educate to raise legal awareness about marine and island environmental protection;- Inspect and examine the compliance with laws on marine and island resources and environment, and resolve complaints and denunciations.
