08 acts strictly prohibited in lottery business in Vietnam

This is a notable content of Decree No. 30/2007/NĐ-CP on lottery business issued on March 01, 2007 of Vietnam’s Government.

According to Article 6 of Decree No. 30/2007/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, 08 acts strictly prohibited in lottery business are specified as follows:

1. Illegally conducting lottery business in any forms or by any means.

2. Using results of lottery issued by lottery business enterprises to organize prize-winning programs.

3. Issuing foreign lottery tickets to domestic organizations or individuals.

4. Falsifying winning results.

5. Using state money to participate in lottery drawing.

6. Making fake lottery tickets in any form.

7. Using lottery for money laundering.

8. Other acts as provided for by law.

Besides, Decree No. 30/2007/NĐ-CP stipulates responsibilities of lottery business enterprises, specifically as follows:

- To observe state regulations on lottery business.

- To conduct lottery business strictly according to the rules publicized to customers.

- To make full and timely payment of prizes to prizewinners; to keep secret information on prize winning and prize receipt at the request of prizewinners.

- To fulfill tax and financial obligations towards the State and observe the provisions of law in the course of conducting business.
