Regarding this issue, LawNet would like to answer as follows:
The National Assembly of Vietnam promulgates Resolution 90/2023/QH15 dated June 9, 2023, on the supervision program of National Assembly of Vietnam in 2024.
Specifically, in Clause 1, Article 1 of Resolution 90/2023/QH15, the contents of the supervision program of the National Assembly at the 7th session in 2024 include:
(1) Review of Government reports on:
+ Additional assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2023;
+ The implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2024; state financial statements in 2022;
+ State budget settlement report in 2022;
+ Report on thrift practice and waste prevention in 2023;
+ The implementation of the national target on gender equality in 2023;
+ Summarizing the implementation of Resolution 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022, of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the program of socio-economic recovery and development;
(2) Considering the report of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the results of supervision of the settlement and response to voters' petitions sent to the 6th Session of the XV National Assembly;
(3) Conducting questioning and answering questions of National Assembly deputies;
(4) Reviewing the thematic monitoring report "The Implementation of Resolution 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on Fiscal and Monetary Policies to Support the Socio-economic Development and Recovery Program and resolutions of the National Assembly on a number of important national projects by the end of 2023.
(Long Thanh Airport Project; East North-South Expressway Project in the period of 2017–2020 and 2021–2025; Ring Road 4–Hanoi Capital Region; Ho Chi Minh City 3rd Ring Road Project; Khanh Hoa–Buon Ma Thuot expressway project phase 1; Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway project phase 1; Chau Doc–Can Tho–Soc Trang expressway project phase 1)";
(5) Reviewing reports on: the implementation of Resolution 93/2019/QH14 dated November 26, 2019 of the National Assembly on investment policy of Kapet Reservoir Project, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province; the implementation of Resolution 135/2020/QH14 dated November 17, 2020 of the National Assembly on the conversion of forest use purposes for the implementation of the Than River Reservoir Project, Ninh Thuan Province; and the Ban Mong Reservoir Project, Nghe An province;
(6) Reviewing reports of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the implementation of supervision recommendations of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Ethnic Council, Committee of the National Assembly, National Assembly Delegation, and National Assembly deputies (if any);
(7) Considering other reports of relevant authorities as required by law
Supervisory activities of the People’s Council includes supervisory activities of People’s Council at sessions, supervisory activities of Standing Board of People’s Council, Committees of People’s Councils, groups of People’s Council deputies and People’s Council deputies.
In particular, supreme supervision means that the National Assembly oversees, considers and evaluates activities of the supervisees in the adherence to the Constitution, laws and resolutions of the National Assembly and taking actions to the best of their competence or as request of the competent authorities. The supreme supervision shall be carried out at the National Assembly’s sessions.

Supervision means that the supervisors oversee, consider and evaluate activities of the agencies, organizations and individuals that are under the supervision (hereinafter referred to as supervisees) in the adherence to the Constitution, laws within their tasks and powers, taking actions to the best of their competence or as request of the competent authorities.
