At the 4th Session, the 15th National Assembly has approved 06 new Laws, specifically as follows:

1. Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequency

The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequency was passed by the National Assembly on November 9, 2022, and takes effect on July 1, 2023.

The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequency includes 4 Articles.

In particular, the extension, modification, supplementation, and renewal of licenses to use radio frequencies and the cessation of use of radio frequencies are amended as follows:

"The total duration of the initial issuance and renewal of licenses must not exceed the maximum duration prescribed for each type of license to use the corresponding radio frequency; In case the term of the first license is equal to the maximum term prescribed for the corresponding type of license, it will not be extended.

2. Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots

The Law on Practicing Democracy at the Grassroots was passed by the National Assembly on November 10, 2022, and takes effect on July 1, 2023.

The law has 6 Chapters, 91 Articles, regulating the content and methods of implementing democracy at the grassroots, the rights and obligations of citizens in implementing democracy at the grassroots, and the responsibilities of agencies, units, organizations, and individuals in ensuring the implementation of democracy at the grassroots.

The law regulates the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level and is governed by many legal documents. In particular, the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots focuses on implementing democracy in communes, wards, towns, State agencies, public service units, and State enterprises.

3. Petroleum Law (amended)

The Petroleum Law (amended) was passed by the National Assembly on November 14, 2022, and takes effect on July 1, 2023.

The Petroleum Law (amended) includes 11 chapters and 69 articles regulating basic surveys of oil and gas and oil and gas activities within the mainland, islands, and waters of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. .

In particular, a notable point is the addition of regulations on the Prime Minister deciding on the operating mechanism for salvage mining activities of mines, mine clusters, and oil and gas blocks.

4. Law on Prevention and Combating Domestic Violence (amended)

The Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (amended) was passed by the National Assembly on November 14, 2022, and takes effect on July 1, 2023.

The Law includes 56 articles regulating the prevention, containment, protection, support, and handling of violations in the prevention and control of domestic violence; conditions to ensure the prevention and control of domestic violence; State management and the responsibilities of agencies, organizations, families, and individuals in preventing and combating domestic violence.

5. Law on Inspection (amended)

The Law on Inspection (amended) was passed by the National Assembly on November 14, 2022, with 118 articles and regulations on inspection organization and activities, taking effect on July 1, 2023.

One of the new points of the Law on Inspection (amended) is the establishment of general inspection departments and departments under ministries to perform specialized inspection tasks.

6. Law on Anti-Money Laundering (amended)

The Law on Prevention and Combating Money Laundering (amended) was passed by the National Assembly on November 15, 2022, and takes effect on March 1, 2023.

The Law includes 4 Chapters and 66 Articles regulating measures to prevent, detect, stop, and handle organizations and individuals committing money laundering acts; the responsibilities of agencies, organizations, and individuals in preventing and combating money laundering; and international cooperation on money laundering prevention.

The prevention and combat of money laundering by organizations and individuals with the purpose of financing terrorism or the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Money Laundering (amended), the provisions of criminal law, and the laws on the prevention and combat of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
