This is noteworthy content in Decree 112/2020/ND-CP of the Government of Vietnam on the disciplinary actions against Vietnamese officials and public employees.

Under Article 19 of Decree 112/2020/ND-CP, Vietnamese public employees will be removed from office in one of the following cases:
1. Have been disciplined by dismissal of managerial public employees or a warning against public employees who do not hold managerial positions but re-offend;
2. Commit the first violation causing particularly serious consequences in one of the following cases:
- Fail to comply with professional processes, regulations, professional ethics, and codes of conduct while performing professional activities, which have been warned in writing by competent authorities;
- Commit violations against the law on performing the duties and responsibilities of public employees; labor discipline; regulations, rules, and working regulations of public service providers, which have been reminded in writing by competent authorities;
- Take advantage of the job position for profit purposes; have a bossy and authoritarian attitude or cause difficulties or troubles to people in the course of performing assigned tasks and tasks; certify or issue legal documents to ineligible persons; offend the honor, dignity, and reputation of others while performing professional activities;
- Fail to comply with the decision on work assignment of the competent authorities; fail to perform assigned duties without a valid reason; cause disunity in the unit;
- Commit violations against the provisions of law on: crime prevention and combat; social evils prevention and combat; safety and order of society; Anti-corruption; thrift, anti-waste;
- Commit violations against the regulations of law on protection of state secrets;
- Commit violations against the provisions of law on complaints and denunciations;
- Commit violations against the provisions of law on: investment, construction; land, natural resources and environment; finance, accounting, banking; management and use of public property in the course of professional activities;
- Commit violations against the law on: domestic violence prevention and control; population, marriage and family; gender equality; Social Security; other provisions of law relating to public employees.
3. Managerial public employees commit the first violations, causing very serious or extremely serious consequences in one of the following cases:
- Managerial public employees fail to perform their responsibilities properly, allowing public employees under their management to violate the law, causing serious consequences during professional activities;
- Managerial public employees fail to fulfill their management and operational duties as assigned without justifiable reasons.
4. Use fake or illegal diplomas, certificates or certifications to be recruited into agencies, organizations or units;
5. Get drug addiction; in this case, it must be certified by a medical facility or notified by a competent authority.
