04 Requirements for Rescue and Firefighting Equipment and Tools for Railways

Circular 32/2018/TT-BGTVT has been issued by the Ministry of Transport regarding 02 National Technical Regulations on railways.

- The rescue equipment and tools must always be in good preparation, including: rescue trains, cranes, and service carriages at designated locations to be ready to handle accidents.- At the carriage inspection and repair stations, there must be rescue response teams to promptly address minor accidents and, if necessary, organize immediate rescue operations before the arrival of the rescue train.- The rescue equipment and tools must ensure safety and restore normal train operations as quickly as possible.- To prevent and extinguish fires, at designated locations, fire prevention and firefighting must be organized with adequate means and tools in accordance with the law on fire prevention and firefighting, and arrange forces to be ready for rescue operations when necessary.
