04 professional titles of teaching staff in public higher education institutions in Vietnam

According to the Circular No. 40/2020/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, professional titles of teaching staff in public higher education institutions include:

- Senior lecturer (class I) - Code: V.07.01.01

- Main lecturer (class II) - Code: V.07.01.02

- Lecturer (class III) - Code: V.07.01.03

- Teaching assistant (class III): Code: V.07.01.23

Besides, teaching staff in public higher education institutions must meet the following standards of professional ethics:

- Enthusiastic about the profession, preserving the quality, prestige and honor of teachers; have a spirit of solidarity, respect and cooperation with colleagues in life and work; have compassion, tolerance, generosity, and treat students with courtesy and respect (hereinafter referred to as learners); protect the legitimate rights and interests of learners, colleagues and the community.

- Dedication to work; strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the public higher education institution and the laws of the sector.

- Fairness in teaching and education, true assessment of learners' capacity; practice thrift, combat achievement disease, fight corruption and waste.
