On November 15, 2024, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 151/2024/ND-CP detailing specific provisions and measures for implementing the Law on Traffic Order and Road Safety 2024.

According to Article 4 of Decree 151/2024/ND-CP, the educational contents on traffic order and road safety law within educational institutions in Vietnam from January 1, 2025, include:

(1) Educational content on traffic order, road safety laws for children at preschools includes:

- Identifying types of road transport vehicles;

- Recognizing traffic lights, their significance, and some common road signs;

- Safety when walking and on road vehicles;

- Correctly wearing a helmet;

- Safe play areas;

- Dangers and consequences of not complying with road safety regulations.

(2) Educational content on traffic order, road safety laws for primary school students includes:

- Recognizing commands from traffic controllers, traffic signals, and common road signs;

- Some common road traffic rules and the necessity to comply with them;

- Crossing the road safely;

- Choosing and properly wearing a helmet;

- Safely getting on and off bicycles, motorcycles, motorbikes;

- Getting familiar with bicycles and learning safe cycling techniques;

- Some accident prevention skills on the road.

(3) Educational content on traffic order, road safety laws for lower secondary school students includes:

- Road traffic rules;

- Recognizing and complying with road signs;

- Properly wearing a standard helmet and fastening the straps correctly when on the road;

- Safety while sitting in motor vehicles;

- Safe operation of bicycles and electric bicycles;

- Preventing risks, consequences of traffic accidents, and handling traffic incidents.

(4) Educational content on traffic order, road safety laws for high school students and vocational education students includes:

- Road traffic rules, road signs, speed and safe distance of motor vehicles;

- Predicting and avoiding dangers;

- Safe operation of motorbikes.
