03 Requirements for Management and Use of Heat and Fire-Resistant Protective Clothing

The management and use of heat and flame resistant protective clothing are governed by the provisions of the National Technical Regulation for Heat and Flame Resistant Protective Clothing, denoted as QCVN 37:2019/BLDTBXH, issued in conjunction with Circular 13/2019/TT-BLDTBXH as follows:

- Heat and flame resistant protective clothing must be stored in a dry and cool environment, away from heat sources, unaffected by harmful solvents, and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.- The use of heat and flame resistant protective clothing must be purpose-specific, functional, and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.- Heat and flame resistant protective clothing must be inspected in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Do not use the heat and flame resistant protective clothing if the inspection results do not meet the requirements or if the usage period has expired according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Employers must base their practices on the manufacturer's instructions for use, storage, and inspection during usage to establish guidelines for inspecting the functionality of heat and flame resistant protective clothing. The inspection guidelines must be communicated to the workers and posted in convenient locations for self-checks by the employees.

Before using heat and flame resistant protective clothing, employees must self-inspect according to the instructions posted at the workplace. Daily self-inspections when using heat and flame resistant protective clothing must be supervised, and the results should be recorded.
