03 Conditions for Circulation of Insecticidal and Bactericidal Preparations

July 1, 2016, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree 91/2016/ND-CP on the management of chemicals, insecticidal products, and disinfectants used in household and healthcare sectors.

According to the provisions of Decree 91/2016/ND-CP, insecticidal and antibacterial products used in the household and healthcare fields are circulated when meeting the following conditions:

- Having a registration number.- Being labeled or accompanied by a supplementary label with complete information.- Products with a registration number produced before the registration number expires, but the registration entity does not continue to renew the registration, are still allowed to circulate in the market after the old registration number expires until the expiration date indicated on the product label.

Among these, the registration number for the product is stipulated as follows:

- A product is issued only one registration number.- The registration number of a product is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance. In the case where the product is renewed, the original registration number is retained.- The registration number is issued in the form of a Circulation Registration Certificate.
