02 Responsibilities of the Information Technology Application Department in Regular Reporting Policies

According to Circular 06/2013/TT-BTTTT, when implementing periodic reporting policies on the application of information technology by state agencies, the Department of Information Technology Application is responsible for performing the following tasks:

- Develop report templates on the situation of information technology application in the form of electronic documents and post them on the electronic portals of the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Department of Information Technology Application. Update report templates in electronic document form when there are changes as stipulated by the Ministry of Information and Communications;- Compile data, prepare and submit a Report on the situation of information technology application, online public service deployment, and electronic portal activities to the Minister of Information and Communications for reporting to the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam before April 30 annually.

Additionally, Circular 06 also stipulates the responsibilities of other relevant agencies regarding periodic reporting on the situation of information technology application as follows:

The specialized information technology units of Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government of Vietnam are responsible for advising, compiling, and preparing reports on the situation of information technology application of the Ministry, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government of Vietnam.

The Departments of Information and Communications of provinces and centrally-run cities are responsible for:

- Guiding the specialized agencies under the People's Committees of provinces, centrally-run cities, and the People's Committees of districts, district-level towns, and provincial cities in providing data to serve the preparation of reports on the situation of information technology application of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities;- Advising, compiling, and preparing reports on the local situation of information technology application.
