02 Forms of Energy Information Collection Reports Applied from April 1, 2020

On November 28, 2019, the Minister of Industry and Trade officially issued Circular 34/2019/TT-BCT regulating the energy information system.

According to the regulations, energy information is collected based on the report from the reporting unit, providing energy information as prescribed in the annexes issued together with Circular 34/2019/TT-BCT. In which, the reporting unit, providing energy information (hereinafter referred to as the Reporting Unit) are agencies and organizations that provide energy information according to the reporting policies prescribed in Article 7 of this Circular. These reports are carried out according to the data report templates stored on the electronic information system of the energy information system website.

This Circular stipulates that the collection of energy information from the Reporting Units is carried out in 02 forms:

a) Paper document with the signature and seal of the unit head or legal representative or authorized person sent to the focal unit;

b) Electronic document sent to the electronic reporting software system on the energy information system website at www.veis.erea.gov.vn or to the email address veis@moit.gov.vn.

The reporting deadline is before March 31 of the year following the reporting year.

In addition, this Circular also specifies the bases for planning energy information collection, including:

- According to the requirements of state management of energy and socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security;- According to the assigned functions, tasks, and powers;- According to the programs, projects, research topics, tasks approved by the competent authority.

Moreover, energy information is collected periodically and unexpectedly, including:

- Annual report: carried out annually with the closing data period from January 01 to December 31.- Unscheduled report: carried out in case of urgent requirements to serve state management.
