Sell or facilitate children in drinking alcohol or beer, smoking and using addictive substances or other stimulants, and unsafe foods which may cause harm to children is a prohibited act specified in the Children Law 2016 of Vietnam.
Individuals and families who wish to perform the surrogate care may register with people’s committees of communes where they reside. However, when applying for surrogate care registration, these individuals and families must fully satisfy the conditions of the surrogate care as regulated in the Children Law 2016 of Vietnam.
According to the Children Law 2016 of Vietnam, surrogate care refers to the fact that an organization, family or individual undertakes to take care of an orphan. This Law also stipulates cases where children need the surrogate care.
The Children Law 2016 of Vietnam officially takes effect from June 01, 2017, according to which there are 14 groups of disadvantaged children as follows:
The Children Law 2016 was promulgated by the 13th National Assembly of Vietnam at its 11th session on April 05, 2016 and officially effective from June 01, 2017.
