Update of Decree 76 on Increasing Pensions and Allowances for Civil Servants

the Government of Vietnam has officially approved Decree 76/2017/ND-CP on adjustments to pension benefits, social insurance benefits (SI), and monthly allowances.

Increase by 7.44% on the retirement pension, social insurance allowance, and monthly benefits of June 2017 for the following subjects:

- Officers, officials, workers, public employees, and laborers (including those participating in voluntary social insurance, retirees from the Nghe An Farmer Social Insurance Fund transferred under Decision 41/2009/QD-TTg dated March 16, 2009); military personnel, public security officers, and cipher staff receiving monthly retirement pensions;- Commune-level officials regulated by Decree 92/2009/ND-CP, Decree 121/2003/ND-CP, and Decree 09/1998/ND-CP currently receiving monthly pensions and allowances;- Persons receiving monthly loss of working capacity allowances according to the regulations, persons receiving monthly allowances under Decision 91/2000/QD-TTg dated August 4, 2000, Decision 613/QD-TTg dated May 6, 2010; rubber workers currently receiving monthly allowances.- Commune-level officials currently receiving monthly allowances under Decision 130/CP dated June 20, 1975 of the Government Council of Vietnam and Decision 111-HDBT dated October 13, 1981 of the Council of Ministers;- Military personnel receiving monthly allowances under Decision 142/2008/QD-TTg dated October 27, 2008, Decision 38/2010/QD-TTg dated May 6, 2010;- Public security officers receiving monthly allowances under Decision 53/2010/QD-TTg dated August 20, 2010;- Military personnel, public security officers, and cipher staff receiving salaries equivalent to those of military personnel and public security officers currently receiving monthly allowances under Decision 62/2011/QD-TTg dated November 9, 2011;- Persons currently receiving monthly occupational accident and disease allowances.

Decree 76/2017/ND-CP takes effect from August 15, 2017. The pension and allowance policies for the aforementioned subjects are implemented from July 1, 2017.
