Ranking salaries of Officials specialized in accounting, tax, customs and reserves in Vietnam

According to Circular 29/2022/TT-BTC, salary ranking of civil servants specialized in accounting, tax, customs and reserves in Vietnam is as follows:

(1) The ranks of civil servants specialized in accounting, tax, customs in Vietnam and reserves specified in Circular 29/2022 shall be applied Professional payroll for officials and civil servants in State agencies (Table 2) issued together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP (as amended in Decree 17/2013/ND-CP):

- Tax senior examiners (code 06.036), customs senior examiners (code 08.049) are applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A3, group 1 (A3.1), from salary coefficient 6.20 to salary coefficient 8.00.

Senior accountant in Vietnam (code 06.029) is applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A3, group 2 (A3.2), from salary coefficient of 5.75 to salary coefficient of 7.55;

- The main tax inspector (code 06.037), main customs inspector (code 08.050), main maintenance technician (code 19.220) are applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group 1 (A2.1), from the salary coefficient of 4.40 to the salary coefficient of 6.78.

The main accountant in Vietnam (code 06.030) is applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group 2 (A2.2), from salary coefficient 4.00 to 6.38;

- Accounting staff (code 06.031), tax inspectors (code 06.038), customs inspectors (code 08.051), maintenance technicians (code 19.221) are applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;

- Grade of intermediate accountant in Vietnam (code 06.032), tax intermediate inspector (code 06.039), customs intermediate inspector (code 08.052), intermediate preservation technician (code 19.222), preservation storekeeper (code 19.223) are applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A0, from salary coefficient 2.10 to salary coefficient 4.89;

- Customs officers (code 08.053), tax officers (code 06.040) are applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type B, from salary coefficient 1.86 to salary coefficient 4.06;

- The reserve security guard in Vietnam (code 19.224) is applied the salary coefficient of civil servant type C, group 1 (C1), from salary coefficient 1.65 to salary coefficient 3.63.

(2) The transfer of salary ranking for civil servants to the rank of specialized civil servant (new) shall comply with the instructions in Clause 1, Section II of Circular 02/2007/TT-BNV.

In case civil servants do not meet the criteria and conditions for salary transfer to the ranks of specialized civil servants (new) as prescribed, they shall continue to be paid according to the ranks of civil servants currently entitled within 5 years from the effective date of this Circular in Vietnam.

Within this period of 05 years, civil servants must complete the training standards as required by the rank of specialized civil servants (new).

When civil servants meet the criteria and conditions in the rank of specialized civil servants (new), the management agency or use civil servants to transfer salary according to the instructions in Clause 1, Section II of Circular

In case civil servants fail to complete the training standards at the request of civil servants, the payroll shall be streamlined in accordance with the law in Vietnam.

Circular 29/2022/TT-BTC takes effect from July 18, 2022.
