Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam: Recruitment of Officials and Public Employees 2017

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam has just issued a Notice regarding the organization of the recruitment examination for officials and public employees in 2017.

Indicator 78 indicators. Including:
 
  • International Relations - International Politics: 39 indicators;
  • International Law: 16 indicators;
  • International Economics: 10 indicators;
  • Journalism - Foreign Communication: 04 indicators;
  • Accounting - Finance: 05 indicators;
  • Information Technology: 04 indicators.
Time and place for receiving application From: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM on November 07 - 08, 2017.


At:
 
  • Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, No. 69 Chua Lang Street, Dong Da District, Hanoi;
  • Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, No. 6 Alexandre de Rhodes, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Time and place of exams - Round 1: Expected from December 18 - 22, 2017 at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs.


- Round 2: Expected from March 19 - 23, 2018 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Exam subjects and formats ROUND 1:


- Compulsory subjects:
 
  • General Knowledge: 45-minute multiple-choice exam on the political system, the organizational structure of the Communist Party, the State, and political-social organizations; state administrative management;
  • Specialized subject:
    • IT specialization: 60-minute written exam and 120 minutes of practical exam on computer;
    • Other specializations: 180-minute written exam.
  • Main foreign language and office informatics


- In addition to the main foreign language, candidates are encouraged to register for additional secondary foreign languages (English, French, Chinese) or submit diplomas and certificates for other foreign languages. Additional foreign language points will be added to the total exam score if the requirements are met.


ROUND 2: Candidates who complete all parts of the exam in round 1 with no score below 50% will be eligible for the second round - Interview.


Eligible candidates for Round 2 will register their unit preferences according to 04 groups, including:
 
  • National Border Committee;
  • State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs;
  • Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs;
  • Other units of the Ministry).
Application dossier
  • Application form (according to the template DOWNLOAD);
  • 02 autobiographies (according to the template DOWNLOAD);
  • Copy of birth certificate;
  • Copies of diplomas, certificates, and transcripts from university level upwards;
  • Copies of awards, certificates of achievements (if any);
  • Health certificate;
  • Certificate of priority subjects in civil service recruitment;
  • 04 photos (4x6cm);
  • Copy of identification card;
  • 02 stamped envelopes with the recipient's address (exam candidate) via postal mail;
  • 01 copy of the foreign language certificate for candidates applying for International Relations - International Politics; International Law; International Economics; Journalism - Foreign Communication specializations.


All candidates will fill out the online information at www.mofa.gov.vn (Recruitment section 2017). Candidates use a Google account or Gmail address to register for online recruitment. Each candidate only uses one Google account to register throughout the exam period.
