To date, the salary of Judges, Procurators, and Court Clerks in Vietnam is still determined according to the provisions of Resolution 730/2004/NQ-UBTVQH11 on the approval of the position salary table, the position allowance table for State leadership officials; the professional salary table, and professional allowance table for the Court sector and the Procuracy sector.

Recently, the Government of Vietnam has proposed to increase the statutory pay rate in 2020 to VND 1.6 million per month, and the majority of opinions in the Finance and Budget Committee agreed with this proposal. If the pay increase is approved by the National Assembly, the statutory pay rate in 2020 will be higher than the current statutory pay rate by VND 110,000 per month (currently VND 1,490,000 per month) and the highest salary for Judges and Procurators can reach VND 12.8 million. To be specific:
- Judges of the Supreme People's Court, Procurators of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Senior Inspectors, and Senior Investigators have a salary coefficient of 6.2 to 8.0 (Type A3). Based on the proposed salary rate of VND 1.6 million per month, the salaries for the above positions range from nearly VND 10 million to VND 12.8 million per month.
- Judges of the Provincial People's Courts, Procurators of the Provincial People's Procuracies, Principal Inspectors, and Intermediate Investigators have a salary coefficient of 4.4 to 6.78 (Type A2). Based on the proposed salary rate of VND 1.6 million per month, the salaries for the above positions range from more than VND 7 million to nearly VND 11 million per month.
- Judges of the District People's Courts, Procurators of the District People's Procuracies, Inspectors, Junior Investigators, and Court Clerks all have a salary coefficient of 2.34 to 4.98 (Type A1). Based on the proposed salary rate of VND 1.6 million per month, the salaries for the above positions range from over VND 3.5 million to nearly VND 8 million per month.

Thus, with the proposed statutory pay rate of VND 1.6 million and based on the professional salary table for the judicial and prosecution sectors under Resolution 730/2004/NQ-UBTVQH11, the specific salaries for Judges, Procurators, and Court Clerks in 2020 in Vietnam can be applied as follows:
