Recently, the Office of the Government of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 573/TB-VPCP to announce the holiday schedule for 2018 for officials and public employees.However, this Official Dispatch only mentioned the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays. - Western New Year: Monday, January 01, 2018.- Lunar New Year: Holiday from Wednesday, February 14, 2018 (the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month, Year of the Rooster) until the end of Tuesday, February 20, 2018.- Hung Kings' Commemoration Day: 10th day of the third lunar month, falling on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.- Reunification Day: Monday, April 30, 2018.- International Labor Day: Tuesday, May 01, 2018.- National Day: There will be a 2-day holiday on September 2 and September 3, 2018. As this holiday coincides with Sunday, officials and public employees and workers will have an additional break the following day in accordance with the provisions of Labor Code 2012.
Additionally, for foreign workers working in Vietnam, there will be an additional 01 traditional New Year holiday of their country and 01 National Day of their country.
As such, in 2018, officials and public employees and Vietnamese workers will have 13 days of holidays and foreign workers will have 15 days of holidays in 2018.
