The salary is determined based on the statutory pay rate applicable to entities under the Vietnam People's Armed Forces under Decree 47/2017/ND-CP (statutory pay rate is 1,300,000 VND x salary coefficient of each rank).
In addition, border guards are also entitled to various allowances due to stationing in deep and remote disadvantaged areas such as percentage allowance for disadvantaged areas, hazardous duty allowance, seniority allowance, extra-seniority allowance, leader allowance, responsibility allowance (if any), etc.
